This is rather educational! Storage Carlisle ®, based in Carlisle, Cumbria on the Rome Street Depot have an extensive facility which holds shipping container units of varying sizes.
The most common sizes are 8 foot long, 10 foot long and 20 foot long.
Weatherproof seals and superb flooring together with clean roofs and walls makes storing your items a pleasurable experience.
Shipping containers are of sturdy construction with a right and left hand door to enable bulky and awkward items to be stored easily.

8 foot storage containers weigh around 1.02 tonne and hold up to 5 tonne.
10 foot storage containers weigh around 1.25 tonne and hold up to 9 tonne.
20 foot storage containers weigh around 2.00 tonne and hold up to 29 tonne.
20 foot Hi Cube containers weigh around 2.30 tonne and hold up to 28 tonne.

These superb range of 20 foot container units store the contents of a three bedroom house easily and efficiently.

Excellent, good clean storage units are important. Note the trickle vents on the sides, and the polished flooring.

The locking mechanism and rubber seals are actually intended for use across the sea when used for transportation purposes. On a self storage facility such as ours on the Rome Street Depot, Carlisle, they are easy to operate and all sited at ground floor level giving 24/7 access.
